Here we are then. Around 6 years after the first incarnation comes this, my brand new website. Thanks for visiting, reading through, listening to my recordings and (hopefully) booking me for your wedding!
I write this with the very best intention of keeping this site up to date with the latest goings on in my world of gigs, recordings, travels to far and away places and hopefully amusing you somewhat with my tales from gigs, of which there are many. So often I’ve heard or seen something funny, ridiculous or just downright daft at weddings or other gigs and thought I should note them down. This will be the first port of call for those musings so if you’re into that kind of thing then bookmark this page and check back regularly!
Aside from my solo guitar work, you’ll see from my weddings page that I collaborate with other musicians. These are top class musicians who have played with and worked alongside the very best in music. Mike Smith, sax player extraordinaire is, at time of writing, touring with Elkie Brooks and has previously played with Tony Hadley, ABC and regularly performs as the featured saxophonist at Cream Classical (he’s the guy wailing out the solos while standing high up on the set!). Conal Duffy is possibly the most versatile musician in the country and is the go-to guy for most of the north-west rugby league teams for weddings and various other club events. Together we’ve played for over 20 rugby weddings (pretty much the entire Wigan Warriors team) and have performed for other sporting legends such as Tommy Fleetwood & Brian Carney and Conal performed live on Radio 1’s Live at the Phoenix show with Peter Kay, Paddy McGuinness & Vernon Kay.
Also new for this website is my new music shop so all those arrangements I’ve made over the year will be on sale to buy and immediately download! A lot of those arrangements have already been meticulously transcribed by myself and will be put straight on to the store. Those others around that I have made videos for but not yet transcribed will be done in due course. Those more popular ones (Quantum leap or ‘Allo ‘Allo get requested every other day on YouTube) will get first attention but if there are others out there that I haven’t done yet then don’t be shy in getting in touch to request it.
